  1. I had the great fortune to meet Edith Head. She was working as a consultant for Singer and was a guest at the Huntingdon County (PA.) 4H Dress Revue held at Juniata College in 1972. I was one of the escorts for the girls who were modelling their dresses they had created that year. She was very charming and shared advice freely to the young designers. I was 16 at the time, but I knew who she was. I still count this as one of the many wonderful milestones of my youth.
