Creative people are not found only along the U.S. coastlines. Peggy Noland Kansas City is the tiny storefront headquarters of the titular designer, installation artist, actress, and teacher. Located in the Crossroads arts district, Noland’s space is always decked out with installations that frame her sartorial output. CSS, Tilly and the Wall, Peaches, Chicks on Speed, Ssion, and the Kansas City Ballet have all pranced across concert stages in her exuberant designs. She has had pop-up stores in Berlin and New York and “Peggy Noland Has Balls,” a runway show and performance was produced by NYC gallery The Hole. Her latest collection premieres as a short film September 9 at the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Missouri.

Peggy Noland celebrates 10 years at her 18th street location in Kansas City Missouri. She thanks Dr. Paul Hillman (Dr. Dirt) for the space he and his wife, Carol, provide in the crossroads cheap to Kansas City Creatives.
From her outposts in Los Angeles and Kansas City, fashion designer Peggy Noland creates new looks for rock stars, club freaks, and extroverts, generously and optimistically refracting corporate logos into psychedelic textiles, transforming chemical-laden refuse into Claes Oldenberg-style installations. Curating for MOCAtv, Noland selects videos whose subjects perform similar transubstantiations. Her picks include a haul video from a seriously sincere shopper; a TV ad by Charlie White; and a performances that’s The Exorcist-meets-Whitney Houston. Another is a bedroom confessional that Noland says sums up her worldview: all of you haters out there, don’t comment and don’t subscribe.
Designer Peggy Noland has a baby fetish… But no! Not like that! Eww, you creep. Just watch, ok?
